Science is highly valued here at Merryhills. Since our Ofsted inspection in 2018, we are delighted to have been awarded the Science Quality Mark in recognition of the provision we provide for our children. One of our key scientific values which we aim to embed is ‘curiosity’. The Science curriculum at Merryhills feeds that curiosity by encouraging inquiry, problem solving and challenge. We aim to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts and skills. Our children will understand the value of scientists in our world and know that Science is a viable profession for children in the future.
